Description	Starboard bow view of a ship identified as the whaling bark Desdemona, at sea. Her sails are set and a U.S. flag is flying aft. A whaleboat filled with men and women is pulling away from the starboard side. The topmasts are partially cut out of the picture.
Description notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Written on reverse: "'Desdemona'/'Greasy luck' - sailing on voyage". The Desdemona was built as a ship at Middletown in 1823 and was classified as a whaling bark by 1865. She was wrecked at Rowes Welcome, Hudson's Bay in 1896. Possible date range based on clothing style.
