DescriptionTrain tracks run along the Housatonic River and cross the river on an iron bridge. Ice is in the river above the railroad bridge and the banks of the river are flooded.Leafless trees and utility poles are partially submerged in water. Industrial buildings line the Derby shore in the right foreground and the Shelton shore in the background. A sign on the Derby shore reads: "Corset Company." Some industrial buildings have smokestacks. Laundry hangs on clotheslines behind some buildings, probably multiple family dwellings. Churches, frame houses and fields are in the distance. Inscribed on back: "Shelton - from Derby, Ct."
