| Description | High Victorian Gothic building has polychrome stonework, an iron steeple, roof cresting, a cross on the gable, and chimneys. Columns support porches. A fountain on the facade incorporates a relief sculpture of a ship. An inscription reads: "In Memory of - Caldwell Hart Colt." Ornamental shrubs and trees grow on the grassy lawn. An electric light is nearby. Inscribed on back: "Colt Memorial Parish House of Church of the Good / Shepherd, Wyllys St., Htfd., Ct." |
| Description notes | Title supplied by cataloger. The parish house of the Church of the Good Shepherd was erected in 1896 as a memorial to Caldwell Hart Colt, the son of Samuel Colt. It was commissioned by Colt's widow, Elizabeth Hart Jarvis Colt, and designed by architect Edward Tuckerman Potter. |
