DescriptionThree-story building with a mansard roof, dormer windows, tall chimneys and porches on the first and second floors. A lamp hangs near the front door. Men and women stand on both porches. Most men wear suits and hats. A series of connected buildings extends toward the right. A covered pump is immediately in front of the clapboard addition which is partially covered with vines. A dirt road is in the foreground. Inscribed on back: "County House built 1785. Burned 1893 / The Mansion House burned the same year / Housed jailer & family & was a Hotel for court attendants / and others." "County House, Built 1785, Burned 1892. / Tolland Green, CT / County Jail in rear."
