DescriptionVertical-boarded railroad station. Women stand on the platform. Men stand near a crossing tender's shack in the distance. Utility poles line the tracks and a dirt street at the right. Two carriages are in front of a large frame building with a sign that reads: "Stabl[e]" Other frame buildings appear to be houses. Light snow is on the ground in the foreground, which is deeply rutted. Inscribed on back; "Naugatuck Depot / (East Side)" "Naugatuck Depot / East side, Derby Ct."

This station was known as Naugatuck Depot until 1893 when the name was changed to Derby Depot or Derby Station. It was located on the east side of the Naugatuck River. The Naugatuck Railroad ran from Bridgeport to Winsted.
