Description	Woman's dress of brown silk consists of a bodice and skirt. The bodice is decorated with bronze-colored beads and has a high, round neckline with a standing band collar of brown velvet; the lower front edge of the bodice is W-shaped. The skirt is pleated at center front, with a panel of brown velvet set into the center. The back of the skirt is draped with panels of fabric, with the ends raveled and tied to create fringe.

McClelland/ ROBES/ GRAND RAPIDS, MICH."<br>Clara Eglantine Comstock was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on 5 April 1866. She was the daughter of Cornelia Guild Davis Comstock and Charles Carter Comstock. Her father was an Episcopal minister who graduated from Trinity College in 1854. Clara Comstock married Huntley Sigourney Russell (b. 1860) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on 1 September 1884. The couple had two children.
