Description	Port view of the powerboat Star in a slip at Noank. Houses can be seen in the background.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Star was built by Robert Whittaker at the former Eldridge boatyard in Noank. Whittaker had leased the yard after the death of Web Eldridge (1944) and used Eldridge molds for several vessels. Star was built with molds also used in the construction of the Falcon, Anna R., Wallace B., Celestia and Madelyn. She was used for swordfishing and tuna fishing south of Montauk, Long Island. Star was owned by Captain Wilbur until 1969, when she was sold to J. Giblin. Boat dimensions: 34' x 10'8" 107, HP LH-6 Lathrop gasoline engine.
