Description	View of a group of unidentified picnickers in a wooded area, possibly Burrow's Grove, Mystic area. The men and women sit or lie on the ground in front of two carriages. The man in the foreground wears a hat and light-colored pants and jacket or coat. He has sideburns.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Burrow's (Burrows) Grove was also known the Peace Sanctuary, in the Great Hill area between High Street and River Road on the west (Groton) side of the Mystic River. Annual Peace Meetings were held there in the latter half of the nineteenth century. Possibly taken by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in the Mystic and New London area 1865-1910. Albumen print for stereograph. Upper right hand corner torn.
