Description	Port bow view of a make-believe vessel, probably a parade float, containing masked people. The word "JIBBOOMER" is visible on the vessel's hull. Written in white ink on the photo: "BEFORE THE WAR".
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The float probably represents the Jibboom Club, a social organization for seamen founded by whaling captains in the 1870s, reorganized in 1891 and dissolved in 1959. The club possibly took part in a 1917 parade. Handwritten on back of frame: "Property of /E.F. GATES/loaned to/Jibboom Club, No.1". Mounted and framed with two other photographs.
