Description	At the left is Cheney Hall and the South Manchester Railroad Station. The major road running from left to right (west to east) is Hartford Road. The large mill complex south of Hartford Road includes the earliest Cheney Mill buildings and is no longer extant. The large building with the clock tower in the background is the Spinning Mill, erected in 1872. To the right, along Hartford Road and Forest Street, which runs parellel to it, are the homes of members of the Cheney family, including the Cheney Homestead (near the center of the composition). The town of Manchester (then known as South Manchester) is visible on the right.<br>
