Description	Interior of a bedroom in the Grinnell home, on East Main Street, Mystic. A fireplace can be seen at left. Wooden shelves with a variety of decorative objects rest on the mantel. A table with a stack of books stands in front of the fireplace. A wooden side chair and upholstered chair are arranged on either side of the table. To the right of the upholstered chair stands a wardrobe. Two wood side chairs can be seen in front of the two windows on the far wall. A desk stands between them, decorated with photographs of Eva Collins Grinnell. A violin is visible on the chair to the left of the desk. A bed can be seen in the right foreground. A light fixture that appears to be electric is visible overhead.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. G. Victor Grinnell, local musician and artist and member of the nineteeth-century shipbuilding family, married Eva Collins in 1904. They lived in the Grinnell family home, built 1885, with their daughter Isabel (later Isabel Grinnell Simons). The contents of 40 East Main Street were sold and the house demolished after Isabel Grinnell Simons' death in 1965. The Mary Elizabeth Nursing Center occupies the site of the house at present.
