Description	Starboard view of the pinky schooner Regina M. in the Mystic River.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Regina M. was originally a sloop-rigged sardine carrier, possibly built in Maine or New Brunswick. In her early days, she carried herring or mackerel to canneries along the Maine coast. She acquired an engine early in her career, and was converted to a pinky schooner shortly before she joined the Mystic Seaport watercraft collection in 1940. Regina M. was rebuilt and restored to her sloop form by Mystic Seaport in 1993 and 1994. Possibly taken in 1941, based on dating of related photograph. A pinky is a New England type of fishing schooner whose features include a "pinky stern" in which the bulwarks extended beyond the sternpost.
