Description	View of West Main Street, Mystic, looking toward the Union Baptist Church, circa 1868. Mystic River National Bank can be seen on the right. Men and boys are standing in the snow-covered street. Children appear to be sledding in the distance. Handwritten on back "Man with shawl on is Elder Bronson of the Baptist Church."
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Taken by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913. Originally owned by E.A. Scholfield. Albumen stereograph, mounted on yellow card, square corners, apparently produced from collodian stereo glassplate negative (1965.859.26) attributed to Scholfield. The area of Mystic village on the Groton side of the Mystic River was called Mystic River. This area had formerly been known as Portersville.
