Description	View looking south along the Pawcatuck River. Industrial buildings can be seen on the left. A two-masted schooner is tied up to the right. The railing of what appears to be a bridge can be seen in the foreground.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Handwritten on back: "Pawcatuck River". Similar image, taken from the Broad Street (Westerly) bridge, identifies one of the buildings on the left as Clyde Mill, and indicates that Mechanic Street, Pawcatuck, is visible to the right. Taken by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913. His father had established a photography business in Westerly after retiring from the textile industry. Everett Scholfield grew up in the Westerly area and lived in Mystic for much of his adult life. At several points in his career he worked in partnership with family members, with a studio in Westerly, Rhode Island. Albumen prints mounted on gray card, square corners.
