Description	Starboard view of the steam launch Maggie on the Mystic River, south of the highway drawbridge. Her passengers appear to be picknicking. Construction supports used at the M. C. Hill shipyard and a chimney that survived the 1875 the iron works fire can be seen on Pistol Point in the background. Pine Hill on Mason's Island is also visible to the right of the chimney beyond the railroad bridge.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Maggie was built by R. A. Morgan & Co., Noank, 1876. Reportedly, she was used to ferry people from the Stonington side of the river to the Groton side for the 1878 Annual Peace Meeting held in/on Burrow's Grove/Great Hill. Mason Crary Hill was in partnership with other shipbuilders including Amos Grinnell (Hill & Grinnell) before purchasing the yard, which operated from 1876 to 1883. Approximate date based on Maggie's construction date and the demolition of the irons works chimney in 1880.
