Description	View of adjoining structures identified as St. Mary's School, Putnam. Features of the building on the left are hard to discern, but it appears to be a single story or on a lower level than the building on the right, which appears to be of brick and has a mansard roof. A tower-like form over the entrance of the mansard-roofed building is surmounted by a cross. In the foreground are fences with turnstiles in the openings. A "gazing ball" rests on a pedestal constructed of lattice in front of the fences. A lamppost can be seen to the right.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Taken by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913. Approximate date based on Scholfield having worked or handled commissions in Putnam in this period. Similar image of the same buildings (1977.92.1355) identifies the structures as St. Mary's School/St. Stanislaw's Academy.
