Description	Group photograph identified as a family portrait. Charles Henry Mallory sits on the right with a child on his lap. Others in the picture are identified as Mrs. Charles P. Williams, Mrs. Charles Mallory, Fanny M. Williams, Kate M. Williams, and Charles M. Williams.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Charles H. Mallory was the son of Charles Mallory, founder of the family's sail making and other maritime enterprises. He had his own shipyard at Appelman's Point, Mystic, worked in the family business, and also supported D.O. Richmond in his boatbuilding business. He was based in New York after 1865, but maintained strong Mystic ties. His daughter Fanny married Charles P. Williams of Stonington in 1868. George E. Tingley was a noted Mystic area photographer. In his early career, he was an assistant and later sometime partner of Everett A. Scholfield. After 1894 he worked independently. If the date of the photograph is accurate, the identification of Tingley as photographer seems to be an error. On brown mount, 10 x 6 15/16, embossed lower right "Tingley/ MYSTIC, CONN."
