Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Related image (1996.115) raises questions about the dating (placed at 1887-1894) and provides additional identifications: back row sixth and seventh from left, Carolyn and Florence Young; front row fifth and seventh from left, Frank and Lucy Young, eighth from left, Sophie Rice. The schoolhouse, which may date from pre-Revolutionary times, was originally in a district of Preston that became part of the newly incorporated town of Griswold in 1815. It was located in Glasgo (Griswold) and was moved to Mystic Seaport in 1949. Also referred to as the "Potter Hill" schoolhouse. Gelatin? print mounted on black card with gold beveled edges, bottom of card cut off.
