Illustration depicts a racing shell with six men visible, the coxswain to the left. The letter "Y" can be seen on the shirts of some. The man next to the coxswain is depicted in the act of diving from the boat. A broken oar is visible in the right foreground. Boats can be seen on the Thames River in the background. The railroad bridge is also visible.
