Description	View of a house with a new porch, identified as the Tifft house, at the corner of High and West Main Streets, Mystic. A porch is visible on the main structure, on the left, and on a gambrel-roofed wing to the right. Farther to the right is what may be another, newly constructed porch.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. House was connected with the Tift (alternate spelling apparently Tifft) family of Mystic and Tifton, Georgia. At the time the photograph was taken, the house was owned by Ernest F. Post of the Franklin G. Post & Son boatbuilding business. Franklin G. Post was a boatbuilder who had shops at two locations in Mystic. From 1914-1923 his business was located in Fort Rachel, south of the site of the old D.O. Richmond yard on the Groton side of the river. From 1923-1959 the shop occupied the site of the former Pendleton Brothers yard at Pistol Point on the Stonington side. When his son Ernest joined the business it became Franklin Post & Son.
