Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Rubber stamped on back: "ELECTRIC BOAT CO./ Neg. No. 1602" Chaser was commissioned in May 1923 and built by Electric Boat Company of Groton. She was owned by Merritt Chapman & Scott Corporation. Her dimensions were 59' 8", beam 17' 5". Merritt-Chapman & Scott Corporation is a marine engineering, construction and salvage firm formed in 1922 when Merritt & Chapman Derrick & Wrecking Company merged with T.A. Scott Company of New London. Electric Boat Company was founded in 1899 through the merger of Holland Torpedo Boat Company, Electro Dynamic Company and Electric Launch Company. It is known as a major producer of submarines, but has historically diversified its production to include other types of vessels as well as marine-related engines and machinery. In album.
