Description	A group of small boys, some holding books, pose for a class portrait at St. Mary's School, Putnam. Most of the boys stand in rows on a porch and the porch steps; a few sit on the ground in front of the group. A man in clerical collar, apparently a priest, stands to the left of the top row. A nun stands on the right. Another nun stands on the ground to the left of the bottom step. Writing on a blackboard behind the back row reads "Notre Dame/de Bon Secours [?]/Putnam, Conn." Writing on another blackboard to the right reads: "Evil commu-/nications cor-/rupt good manners."
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Taken by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913. Approximate date based on Scholfield having worked or handled commissions in Putnam in this period.
