Description	Two vessels under construction at a Noank shipyard, probably the Palmer shipyard. The vessel on the left is identified as possibly the steamer "Keesport." A number of workers can be seen on board. Several structures are visible in the background and to the right and left of the vessels.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Lettering on the hull and secondary sources indicate that the vessel identified as "Keesport" is probably the schooner barge Leesport, built by Robert Palmer & Son in 1912. Her homeport was Philadelphia. The Palmer family's shipbuilding and repair facility, in operation from the mid-19th century until 1914, was one of the most prominent on the east coast. It was incorporated under several names and experienced substantial growth in the second half of the 19th century, specializing in the production of utilitarian barges and floats. Snapshot in album.
