Description	Starboard view of the "Seagoin'" commercial fishing boat Carnegie III at a breakwater.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Built by Franklin G. Post & Son, Carnegie III was owned by Captain Harry Smith of Block Island. Smith had the first Carnegie built with the cash award accompanying a Carnegie medal he won for participating in the rescue of eight passengers from the grounded steamer Larchmont in February 1907. He subsequently had Carnegie II and III built by Post. "Seagoin" was a boat model produced by Post. Franklin G. Post was a boatbuilder who had shops at two locations in Mystic. From 1914-1923 his business was located in Fort Rachel, south of the site of the old D.O. Richmond yard on the Groton side of the river. From 1923-1959 the shop occupied the site of the former Pendleton Brothers yard at Pistol Point on the Stonington side. When his son Ernest joined the business it became Franklin Post & Son.
