Description	Two men stand on the deck of a fishing boat, possibly a lobster boat, identified as the Santa Jo. Totes and barrels can be seen on deck. The man on the right, standing next to a chain link fence, is identified as Joe Kessler. The man on the left, identified as Mike, is possibly stringing bait; what appear to be skates are visible in a tote in front of him. Behind him is a fishing dragger with the word "STONINGTON" on her stern. Buildings in the waterfront area can be seen in the background.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Based in Stonington Borough, the Stonington fleet is the only remaining commercial fishing fleet in Connecticut. Fishing has been a mainstay of the community's economy since the eighteenth century. In earlier years, whaling, sealing and cod fishing supported area residents. The present fishing fleet pursues a diversified approach not dependent on a single type of catch. Dated October 27, 1993.
