Description	View looking north of the Greenmanville Manufacturing Company coal dock on the eastern shore of the Mystic River, north of Adams Point. The cluster of buildings includes a large brick gambrel-roofed structure as well as other brick and wood structures.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Greenmanville Manufacturing Company (later the Mystic Manufacturing Company), was established in 1849 by George Greenman & Company, noted Mystic shipbuilders. The company was owned in whole or part by the Greenman brothers, George, Clark and Thomas. The firm produced woolen and other textiles. The Greenman's shipyard and mill were located on the Stonington side of the Mystic River in an area that came to be known as Greenmanville. The brick gambrel-roofed building is now the Stillman Building, a principal exhibit space at Mystic Seaport. Photograph in album, probably by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913.
