Description	Two men are outdoors in a waterfront area mending nets. The man standing on the left is identified as Al Maderia. The man standing on the right, in a plaid shirt, is identified as John De Bragga. Behind him is a pickup truck containing fishing nets.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Based in Stonington Borough, the Stonington fleet is the only remaining commercial fishing fleet in Connecticut. Fishing has been a mainstay of the community's economy since the eighteenth century. In earlier years, whaling, sealing and cod fishing supported area residents. The present fishing fleet pursues a diversified approach not dependent on a single type of catch. Dated October 1993.
