Description	View of the interior of a schoolhouse, possibly in the Mystic area. A young woman and a boy are behind the teacher's desk, apparently looking at something on the desk. A blackboard is visible on the wall behind. Poem written in chalk on the blackboard reads: "I know there are many sparrows--/All over the world they are found--/But our Heavenly Father knoweth/When one of them falls to the ground." Erasers and two pictures can be seen on the ledge at the bottom of the blackboard.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Identified as probably taken by Edwin Scholfield. Edwin was the name of both the father (1819-1910) and son (1887-1968) of professional photographer Everett A. Scholfield (1843-1930), who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913. The elder Edwin, Edwin A., was also a professional photographer.
