Description	Starboard beam view of the committee boat Whirlwind underway on the Thames River at the Harvard-Yale Boat Race. Sign on the vessel reads "REGATTA COMMITTEE". Unidentified vessels and the Groton or New London shore, with houses and railroad tracks, can be seen in the background.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "Whirlwind M B / 942 Box 75". Whirlwind was built by Consolidated Ship Building in Morris Heights, New York, 1909. Taken by Rosenfeld and Sons. Morris Rosenfeld founded the New York City-based photography business in 1910. He was a prolific photographer particularly noted for coverage of yachting and other maritime subjects. His sons Stanley, David and Bill were also active in the profession and the family firm.
