. She was
launched
in
September
1860
, and
sailed
the
New
York-San
Francisco
route
during
the
Civil
War
and
post-Civil
War
period
. In
1880
she was
purchased
by
German
owners
and
renamed
Anni
. In
1881
Boyes
&
Ruyter
of
Bremen
,
Germany
were her
owners
. The
Anni
was
lost
shortly
thereafter
.
Maxson
,
Fish
&
Co
. was
established
in
1853
by
William
Ellery
Maxson
and
Nathan
G
.
Fish
of
Mystic
,
together
with
other
partners
. The
yard
was
located
in
West
Mystic
. The
business
went
bankrupt
in
1870
,
soon
after
Fish's
death
.
