Description	View of a building identified as the Harris & Rowe warehouse at the corner of Bradley and State Streets, New London. A sign above the second story reads: "AGRICULTURAL WAREHOUSE." Sign on the roof above the adjoining wall to the right reads "HARDWARE, TOOLS, IRON AND STEEL". Below are signs reading "AGENCY FOR/FAIRBANKS SCALES" "GENERAL MOWING [?]/MACHINE AGENCY.", "HARRIS & ROWE" and "SHIP STORES [?]". A man stands in a doorway below the Harris & Rowe sign. Double stairs lead up to the doorway on either side. To the left, above the storefront, are signs reading "HARRIS & ROWE." and "J.N. HARRIS." A variety of objects, including what appears to be a ladder, can be seen to the right of the store entrance. A horse and cart or wagon are on the street to the left.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Bradley Street no longer exists as a result of 20th century redevelopment projects. In the 1860's, the building at center was "old yellow store" of Harris, Williams & Co., known later as Harris & Rowe. The building survived until 1898, when it made way for the Neptune Building. Possibly taken while the store was still Harris & Williams, and retouched to reflect the new name. Photograph with rounded corners mounted on card, 8 13/16 x 10 7/8 in.
