It
sank
in the
1938
hurricane
, was
salvaged
and
underwent
later
modifications
. The
Nourse
family
cruised
in the
boat
on the
Housatonic
and in
Long
Island
Sound
to
Charles
Island
off
Milford
in the
pre-World
War
II
period
, and in the
Connecticut
River
in the
postwar
period
. From
1945
to
1947-48
it
was
moored
off
the
town
dock
in
Wethersfield
. The
new
boat
cabin
was
designed
and
built
by
Nourse
.
