Description	View of a large hip-roofed house identified as the E. Post house, High and West Main Streets, Mystic. The house has a porch and what appears to be a central chimney. A wing to the right has a gambrel roof, two dormers, and porch; people can be seen sitting on the porch. An attached shed-roofed structure is visible on the right.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. House was connected with the Tift (alternate spelling apparently Tifft) family of Mystic and Tifton, Georgia. The house was later (mid-twentieth century) owned by Ernest F. Post of the Franklin G. Post & Son boatbuilding business. Printed in gold on card at bottom: "Scholfield & Tingley, Mystic, Conn." Scholfield & Tingley was a partnership (1886-1894) of professional photographer Everett A. Scholfield and George E. Tingley, who started out as Scholfield's assistant. The firm had studios in Mystic and New London. Boudoir-sized photograph mounted on white card with gold beveled edges, 5 1/4 x 8 1/2 in.
