Description	Port beam view of the commuter yacht Tara under way, New London. People can be seen on board. A river shore with houses and train tracks is visible in the background.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Handwritten on negative sleeve: "Tara / Box 3199". Stamped on original negative sleeve: "46175F / NEW LONDON-1931". Tara was built by Herreshoff in 1920 for yachtsman H.L. Maxwell of New York. At the time of this photograph she was owned by E. Townsend Irving of New York. Tara's features included a comfortable raised deck and twin Speedway engines. Taken by Rosenfeld and Sons. Morris Rosenfeld founded the New York City-based photography business in 1910. He was a prolific photographer particularly noted for coverage of yachting and other maritime subjects. His sons Stanley, David and Bill were also active in the profession and the family firm.
