Description	Starboard view of a Navy vessel identified as the twin-screw steamer gunboat U.S.S. Vicksburg. People can be seen on board.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Vicksburg was built by Maxson, Fish & Co. of Mystic, 1863 for the U.S. Navy. She was sold to private owners after the war and lost on Fire Island, New York, 1875. Maxson, Fish & Co. was established in 1853 by William Ellery Maxson and Nathan G. Fish of Mystic, together with other partners. The yard was located in West Mystic. The business went bankrupt in 1870, soon after Fish's death. Possibly a misidentification, since the Vicksburg built by Maxson, Fish & Co. is described in sources as brig-rigged.
