Description	View of a church interior, Putnam area. Pews can be seen on either side of a center aisle leading toward an ornate altar. Stained glass windows are partially visible on the wall behind the altar. On either side of the altar is a statue of a winged angel on a pedestal. The angels are looking toward the altar, apparently in positions of adoration. Two other statues can be seen, one on the wall to the left of the altar and one on the right. Underneath each is a structure with curtains framing the openings.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Possibly St. Mary's (Roman Catholic) Church, Putnam. Taken by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913. Approximate date based on Scholfield having worked or handled commissions in Putnam in this period.
