Description	View of dredging operations for the berth of the Charles W. Morgan, Mystic River, Mystic. The dredger is at work in the upper center of the picture. Two guns from the wreck of the British ship Winchester can be seen on the shore in the foreground. Sign next to the gun on the left reads: THESE TWO LARGE GUNS WERE BROUGHT/UP FROM THE WRECK OF THE BRITISH 60 GUN/SHIP WINCHESTER. LOST OFF THE FLORIDA/COAST IN 1695. HAVING BEEN UNDER WATER/FOR NEARLY 250 YEARS./PRESENTED 1941 BY/HUGH MATHESON"
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Handwritten in pencil on back: "Dredging berth for/the "Morgan/1941". The Charles W. Morgan was a New Bedford whaleship built in 1841. She was rigged as a bark during much of her long and successful working life, which ended in 1921. She was moved to Mystic Seaport in 1941, where she is now a floating exhibit. Postcard made in U.S.A.
