Description	Members of the clergy and Knights of Columbus are gathered on a sidewalk under a canopy to the left. In front of the group stands a member of the clergy looking out over the Blessing of the Fleet parade route. Spectators are visible in the distance.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Based in Stonington Borough, the Stonington fleet is the only remaining commercial fishing fleet in Connecticut. Fishing has been a mainstay of the community's economy since the eighteenth century. In earlier years, whaling, sealing and cod fishing supported area residents. The present fishing fleet pursues a diversified approach not dependent on a single type of catch. The Blessing of the Fleet takes place annually. Dated July 1995. Probably the parade review area in front of St. Mary's Church, Broad Street, between Main and Water Streets.
