Description	Stern view of two Gilbert Transportation Company schooners at dock. Central Hall, on West Main Street, can be seen in the left background. To the right, a boat is just clearing the open drawbridge, apparently headed up the Mystic River.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Gilbert Transportation Company was located just south of the drawbridge on the Groton side of the river. Founded by Captain Mark L. Gilbert, the company specialized in repair and rebuilding work and was active from 1906-1909. Financial troubles resulted in the closing of the shipyard in 1909. Probably taken by the Gaskell who owned Mystic Pharmacy. Approximate date based on company chronology and dating of related photographs. Drawbridge is apparently the 1904 bridge built to accommodate trolleys.
