Description	Exterior view of homes along East Main St., Mystic. The Grinnell home at 40 East Main is visible on the right. An unidentified woman stands on the front lawn. The base of the Civil War monument can be seen in the far right foreground at the intersection of East Main and Broadway.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. G. Victor Grinnell, local musician and artist and member of the 19th-century shipbuilding family, married Eva Collins in 1904. They lived in the Grinnell family home, built 1885, with their daughter Isabel (later Isabel Grinnell Simons). The contents of 40 East Main street were sold and the house demolished after Isabel Grinnell Simons' death in 1965. The Mary Elizabeth Nursing Center occupies the site of the house at present. Emulsion faded along corners of negative.
