Description	Studio portrait of a woman identified as Emiline Fish, wife of Nathan G. Fish. Handwritten on reverse: "? Emiline wife of Nathan G. Fish/ March 1867."
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Albumen print mounted on white card with double gold line border and square corners, in album containing Asa and James Dean Fish family photographs. Printed on reverse: "E.A. SCHOLFIELD,/ Photographer,/ Mystic River, Ct." Nathan Gallup Fish (1804-1870) was the brother of Asa Fish and uncle of James Dean Fish. He had a long career in Mystic maritime enterprises. Fish was a ship's captain, shipbuilder and investor. He also owned a coal yard and the N.G. Fish retail store on Water Street. The store specialized in outfitting and provisioning vessels. Photograph attributed to Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913.
