Description	Waist length portrait of Grandmother Scholfield, viewed in partial profile, with tinted cheeks. Her hair is parted in the center and pulled back and appears to be arranged in a hairnet. She wears a cameo at the collar of her dress.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Possible date based on clothing and hairstyle. Brass cut-out mat surrounds image. Thermo-plastic case is lined with burgundy colored velvet. Maker's label, printed on paper, is laid into case under the side with the photograph: "LITTLEFIELD, PARSONS &CO.,/MANUFACTURERS OF/DAGUERREOTYPE CASES". Inner mat reads "DEAN & EMERSON PATENT APPLIED FOR". Other inscription:'WORCESTER MASS. No. 24". Attributed to professional photographer Everett A. Scholfield, who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913. The woman in the portrait is possibly his mother, Mary Andros Scholfield.
