Description	View of a two-story house with a pitched roof and central chimney, identified as the house of blacksmith Lyman Dudley, corner of Old New London Road and Water Street, Mystic. The Captain Joseph Warren Holmes house can be seen in the left background.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Blacksmith Lyman Dudley was an extremely successful Mystic businessman. His shop employed as many as five men engaged in shipfitting and other ironwork. He was part owner of the Mystic River bridge before it was sold to Groton and Stonington, and also of a number of vessels. Taken by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913.
