Description	Scenic view of a man standing on the shore of a river, gesturing with his upraised left arm. Fallen tree limbs can be seen at the water's edge in the right foreground. What appear to be pilings or weathered posts are visible near the shore in the background.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Title handwritten on back: "Hailing the Ferry" Handwritten by George E. Tingley: "Clifford you're a brilliant star !/ I see you twinkle, There you are / Hailing Tom and his old wherry,/ Immortal now as Twinkleham Ferry/ Geo. E. Tingley" On reverse: initials CMW [probably Clifford Mozart Watrous] and p.13. Clifford Mozart Watrous was the son of Mystic ship joiner Levy Watrous. George E. Tingley was a noted Mystic area photographer. In his early career, he was an assistant and later sometime partner of Everett A. Scholfield. After 1894 he worked independently. Mounted on white card, 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 in.
