Description	A round stone tower with a tile roof is at the end of an arched stone bridge. An inscription on a stone at the base of the tower reads in part: "Robert Treat / Connecticut" An iron lantern is near the arched door to the tower. A second stone, on the right of the bridge reads: "In Memoriam / Peter Prudden / First Pastor in Milford / Obit [illegible] / the Voice of one crying in the /wilderness prepare ye the way / of the Lord / make his paths / straight." A dirt road leads across the bridge. A sidewalk and a fence are beside the road. A broad stream, the Wepawaug, flows over a dam at the left, creating a waterfall. Frame buildings on the opposite bank of the river include a large vertical-boarded structure, originally erected as a flour mill. Picket fences are near the buildings. Utility lines line the road. Inscribed on back: "The Bridge / looking in a / northeasterly direction" "Milford, Conn."<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The Memorial Bridge was dedicated at Milford's 250th anniversary celebration in 1889. The mill at the far end of the bridge was demolished shortly after 1901. <br>
