Description	Winter view of a building identified as the New London courthouse. Twelve windows are visible on the facade of the gambrel-roofed structure. A steeple and chimneys can be seen at the roofline. Over the doorway are arched windows framed by pilasters, and above them, a pediment in which the year "1784" can be seen. The three second-story windows to the left are framed by open louvered shutters. The shutters are closed on the remaining windows on the front of the building. Snow is visible on the ground and along the edges of the roof.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Handwritten on card at bottom: "New London Court House - Taken in March 1890"; handwritten on back: "N. M. Treadway/ 36 Sander St/ City". Built in 1784, the County Courthouse, now the New London Superior Courthouse, is one of the oldest in the country still in continuous use. Its original location was in the middle of Huntington Street. It was later moved back to its present location. Mounted on card, 9 x 10 5/8 in.
