Description	A boy and girl are playing near a tree in a yard identified as a Greenman front yard, probably that of the Thomas S. Greenman house on Greenmanville Avenue. An iron fence can be seen behind the children. A rocking chair is visible on the right. View is looking east and slightly south across Greenmanville Avenue. A horse and carriage can be seen on the street, and fields and a hillside in the background.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. The area along the Mystic River on the Stonington side north of downtown Mystic was known as Greenmanville. Three of the Greenman brothers, including youngest brother Thomas, lived and had their shipyard and mill in this area in the nineteenth century. Their houses are on the west side of Greenmanville Avenue, and are now part of Mystic Seaport. Photograph in album, probably by Everett A. Scholfield, a professional photographer who worked primarily in Mystic and New London from 1865-1913.
