Description	Two-story house with a massive chimney at the left and an addition at the right. According to Barber, the plaster covering the stone walls was added in the 1810s. A picket fence is in the foreground and a rail fence is in the background. Small trees are at the left. Inscribed beneath image: "S.W. view of the ancient Stone House / in Guilford, Con.[sic]"<br>
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. <br>The Old Stone House was built for Henry Whitfield, a minister of the Church of England and the leader of the original settlers of Guilford, ca. 1640. <br>
