Description	Complex of industrial buildings. The building on the left has a cupola and an exterior staircase. A sign reads: "A.S. Atkinson & Co. Castor Works / J.V. Green Lock Factory." The building at the right has smoke issuing from a smokestack and a stone foundation. There appears to be water, probably the Nepaug River, at the far right. Inscribed in stone beneath image: "Neepaug [sic]- Works, New Hartford Centre / J.F. Henderson."<br>
Notes	A.S. Atkinson also appears as A.S. Atkins. He ran the Nepaug Wood-Turning Works, which subsequently (by 1869) became the Henderson Manufacturing Company. James F. Henderson was president. This company made furniture castors, bed-fastenings and general hardware. It was located where the turnpike bridge crosses the Nepaug River. <br>
