Description	View of a three-story brick building at 36-38 Ann Street in the Hill redevelopment area of New Haven. The building appears to be an abandoned residential building, and has two boarded-up doorways. The windows at the first-floor level are also boarded-up. Two broken windows can be seen at the second-story level. A two-story wood house is visible to the left. Cars are parked on the street in front of the buildings.
Notes	Title supplied by cataloger. Dated November 15, 1974. One of a collection of photographs taken by the New Haven Redevelopment Agency to document a massive urban planning and development project undertaken from 1956 through the mid-1970s. The federally-financed redevelopment initiative was realized through a series of projects focused on particular New Haven city neighborhoods identified by street or area names. These projects involved the demolition of old structures and construction of new buildings, roadways and other facilities. The Hill redevelopment area of New Haven comprised the southwest section of the city, a residential, commercial and industrial area that included City Point and the railroad yards. There are two Ann Streets in New Haven. The one depicted extends from West Street to Kossuth Street between Davenport and Congress Avenues.
